Accessibility

Kymatos LLC aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA on this site. This page records what that means in practice here, and what is known not to be perfect, because a statement that claims everything is fine is not a statement.

What is in place

Text contrast is measured rather than assumed. Body text runs at 5.3:1 or better against the page, links at 6.4:1, and type over the sea in the header at 11:1 or better. Nothing on the page relies on color alone to carry meaning.

Everything interactive is reachable by keyboard in a sensible order, and every focused element shows a visible ring. Inside the colored business panels the ring switches to that panel's own light ink, because a dark ring on a near-black panel is not a ring.

There is a skip link to the main content as the first thing in the tab order. The page uses real headings in order, each section is labeled, and the business panels are buttons that announce whether they are open.

Motion

If your device is set to reduce motion, the moving water in the header renders as a single still frame, every section is fully visible immediately with no reveal, and no transition runs anywhere on the page. That path is tested rather than assumed, and it serves the complete page, not a reduced one.

Even without that setting, nothing on the page moves while you are reading it. The water is the only continuous motion, it is slow by design, and it stops entirely when the header is off screen or the tab is in the background.

Known limitations

The click-to-open business panels are a wide-screen layout. On a narrow screen the same content is presented as cards that are already open, which carries everything the panels carry. That is a deliberate substitution rather than a reduction, but it is a difference and it is worth stating.

The moving water in the header is decorative and is hidden from assistive technology. It carries no information that is not also in the text.
